A three part series in the Next Generation format
where Riker is an Admiral, and Picard is married to Beverly!
A little drawn out in sections, but well written,with a good story line
crossing Federation, Klingon, Orion and Breen cultures.
I cannot say enough about this series. It’s so good. I read the first two books in paperback, but am currently listening to this one on audible. I will definitely look for more Trek books from this author.
Not since the David Mack Borg triology has a better been written.
Three awsome books, where yoy spend your time the Klingon universe.
This is a hard one to follow, but I look forward to the next triology.
Now this was a Star Trek series. Lots of action, intrigue, suspense. Why can't the movies get this formula? The story spans two generations and characters from across the spectrum of Trek series. And I have to admit, I love pretty much everything that has Klingons in it. Great finish to the series.
Mr Miller has written a fitting tribute to the 50th anniversary of Star Trek. Books 1&2 were filled with action and mystery. Book 3 is no exception. He has also tied in TOS with events taking place in TNG timeline. The events take place within the Klingon Empire, a nice look at Trek from the Klingon view. Also ties in well with characters from TOS,TNG,DS 9. The formerly unnamed Klingons manage to regain some of their lost honor. We see how newborn Klingons receive their name in an age old ceremony. Plus this series leaves open future stories to be told.
Very happy this was done as a 3 book series. The story kept me engaged the entire time. It was a challenge to read only in the sense that there was surprise and unpredictability. Some storylines are predictable and makes it boring to read. Also, with all of the star trek books I read I've always felt that the Tuvok character has been pushed to the back burner. I'm not sure if John Jackson Miller recognized this too or if it was just happenstance but Tuvok was folded into the main storyline and it's what I've been waiting for.

This is a stellar conclusion to a fantastic trilogy! Most series start off strong, then offer a weak finish. You won't find that here! 'Hall of Heroes' is chock full of character development and intrigue, all culminating into one of the best endings I've seen in a novel in quite awhile. I won't give away the ending, but let's just say it opens the door for future novels in the series. And that would be a great thing. More birds-of-prey, more bat'leths, and more bloodwine, please!
